Georgia Cassimatis has written a great article about ADHD that was published in the Sydney Morning Herald on 1 May 2016. Georgia did some great research for the article including interviewing Joy Toll, a psychiatrist Dr Hugh Morgan, and a paediatrician Dr Patrick Concannon plus a couple of adults, Michael and Susie, who were able to share their experience of ADHD.
"ADHD medication: the facts"
There is a lot said about medication and ADHD. There are many opinions. Our speaker, Daniel Galanos from Stenlakes Compounding Chemist, will be able to outline the facts like - What medications are available in Australia? How do they work? Are there any side effects? What do they cost? Then a second professional will help us look at the decision making process when medication is prescribed for an individual. What factors influence specific medication choices for various individuals.
