Does Your ADHD Get In The Way

ADHD Awareness Afternoon March 11, 2017 2pm at St Barnabas Centre 57-61 Mountain St Ultimo near Broadway. Speaker: Dr Amanda Mullin.

Does your ADHD get in the way of reaching your goals? Having a healthy lifestyle in regards to exercise, sleep and diet is important to all of us. We all make poor lifestyle choices from time to time, but symptoms of ADHD can lead to poor decision making, poor planning and impulsive or emotional choices. Making good decisions and weighing up the options requires a great deal of executive function input, something we know is impaired in ADHD.

Learn more about:

  • Links between diet and ADHD
  • What healthy lifestyle choices are for adults and children
  • How to set goals and establish new habits
  • How to recognise and identify the impact of exercise, sleep or nutrition on physical, mental and emotional health.

In this informative talk, learn about the impact of poor lifestyle choices on ADHD  - and about how ADHD can in itself lead to poor lifestyle choices. Take some time out to reflect on your goals and discover practical strategies to reach them.

Ready for change? Dr Amanda Mullin is a Performance Coach and Doctor of Clinical Psychology with a special interest in ADHD.

But wait there's more...also on the programme

Dr Caroline Stevenson, our new president, will preview 2017 activities and projects being undertaken by ADDults with ADHD.

We look forward to seeing you there. All are welcome. There is no need to book ahead.

Publications and resources will be on sale, and handout information will be FREELY available.
